Our team left Yangon by car on 20 June and arrived to Laputta on 21 June at 05:30pm. On 22 June we went by boat to Taung Thu Village (Shaw Chaung Part) and Taung Thu village (Myit Pauk Part). It took 2.5 hours to reach there. Under Thaun Thu village tract (Shaw Chaung Part), there are two villages, U Do and Narnapauk under Taung Thu village. Previously, U Do has about 170 households and Narnapauk has about 130 households. Half of the villagers were killed by the storm and now there are 87 households in U Do and 62 households in Narnapauk left. They got some assistance from individual donors and family kits from UNICEF.

We also gave condom demonstration for Health education.
After that we continued to Taung Thu village (Myit Pauk Part) based on the information from our colleague who has been contact by the monk of that village. It took 1.5 hours to reach there form Taung Thu (Shaw Chaung Part). Since the village is quite far, no assistance has been reached except 10 bags of rice from a donor passing by their village. All of the houses were destroyed and half of the villagers were killed by the storm.
